5. 【Rear Cam Connection】Rear cam connection: just need to plug the rear camera in the “AV IN” port then it will work. With regard to the red cable, the rear cam will work even if you don’t connect them with reversing lamp leads. But if you connect it with reversing lamp positive leads, the dash cam screen will show full back view when you back up your vehicle. So if you don’t need that, you don’t need to connect the red cable.
